I was not allowed to apply because I am still in my 6 month probationary period, yet I have specific qualifications in this field of work due to my background of 13 years in the police and could've applied if I wasn't already a civil servant.
When I joined, I never realised the breadth of roles available, and that nearly 20 years later I would have had the opportunity to work with so many fantastic people in different departments.
