Hi i taught myself how to play, i have been playing for two years and i have never met someone who can match me with a harp.
Traditionally 2nd position will sound very bluesy because of the bends, while 1st position will be more melodic. This is quite a technical way of thinking.
Other positions are also used, but far less frequently. For the intro the guitar in picking the notes C B G A and I want a harmonica to play the equivilent notes so that the instruments harmonize in the melody. First position has been an important part of the blues tradition and it lends itself to many things which are not possible in other positions. On a C harp, blowing on the holes create the C Major chord. Repeat the exercise with the backing track, this time playing the 2D only.
I dont know from where you are, but i like u. Playing straight harp means playing in the actual key labeled on the harmonica.

Text or drawing? You can play the blues scale in multiple positions.
