Reviewed by Aim at 1: Longer review to follow soon at: Overall rating. At this point and having emerged from the rough estate track, participants turn left on the internal estate road and rejoin the original 7K route at the 5K mark just before Somerset Lodge and the Victorian stables.
This will constitute of a runner each holding a bamboo pole with a small sign at the top indicating the time that they will cover the distance. However all Runs will take place on the Sunday morning.
Starting adjacent to the cricket pitch and in full view of the castle the 1st K of the course follows a well worn track to an area of the estate called Cattle Crush. See attached map for more detail. Travel, accommodation and directions to the venue. Fantastic scenery - Thouroughly enjoyable race Small event but that just made it all the more cosy. The spectacular run course takes runners through the undulating Howardian Hills and boasts a finish that tops everything off in style — right in front of the main doors of the house.

A couple of woods and fields later competitors arrive at the hamlet of Hill Hoath and shortly afterwards the picture post card National Trust owned village of Chiddingstone where, just inside the gates of the castle by the same name, they will find the 2nd of the two Feed Stations. Starting a few yards from the main castle drawbridge competitors will head off around the formal gardens of the estate.
